Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 05 November 2026
Scope of This Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through updatifyx. The policy covers informative resources dedicated to audiovisual production excellence, including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. It governs transactions made by consumers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, contracts formed, and refunds handled where applicable.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access periods or supplementary materials. Any such charges are clearly indicated before payment is authorised. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but confirmed orders will be honoured at the price accepted at the time of purchase.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the point of purchase through secure third-party processors compliant with UK financial regulations. All transactions are encrypted to protect cardholder data in line with Payment Card Industry standards. Authorisation confirms sufficient funds and validity of the payment instrument before the contract is concluded.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirmation detailing the course access details, price paid and applicable terms. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Until that point, either party may cancel without penalty. Access credentials are issued only after confirmation and are non-transferable.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of confirmation during which you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund, provided you have not begun accessing the digital content. If access has started, the right to cancel is lost. For services scheduled to begin within the cooling-off period, you must expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge loss of cancellation rights.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available within the cooling-off period where no access has occurred. After this period, refunds are granted only in cases of technical failure preventing access that we cannot remedy. Non-refundable items include partially used subscriptions, promotional bundles already redeemed, and any customised materials prepared specifically for the purchaser. Digital downloads and completed course modules are excluded once accessed.
Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us in writing via the form on our Contacts page or by emailing info@nfts.co.uk. Include your order number, full name, and a clear statement of the reason for the request. Supporting evidence such as screenshots of access issues may be requested. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits set out above.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within five working days. Our team will inspect the claim, which may involve reviewing access logs and technical records. You will be notified of the decision within 14 days. If approved, a refund will be processed. If rejected, we will explain the reasons and outline any alternative remedies available.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method. Processing typically takes up to 10 working days after approval, although bank processing times may vary. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been issued. In the event of delay beyond 30 days, you may contact info@nfts.co.uk or 01494 671234 for assistance.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital courses are supplied immediately upon confirmation unless otherwise agreed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may not be eligible for refund if the promotional period has ended. We reserve the right to withdraw access to promotional content at any time without refund where misuse is suspected.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments will result in suspension of access until resolved. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded where verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to permanent account suspension. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities and may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory law, the law prevails.
